Central Coast Engagement Photography | Morgan & Hayden

We planned Morgan and Hayden’s Central Coast engagement session at Montaña de Oro. This one of their favorite spots here on the coast, with so much variety in the landscape. Between the dramatic coastal bluffs, the hiking trails and eucalyptus tree forests, I find myself in photo heaven every time I visit.

Morgan and Hayden are such a joy to be around. A few minutes into their session, they were already warmed up to my camera and creating some fun memories. Every time I do a session like this, I’m reminded how important it is to document every sweet, fleeting season of our life. I loved bringing out their personalities in these photos and capturing the joy and love they share as they anticipate spending a lifetime together.

I Asked Morgan & Hayden Some Questions Before Their Central Coast Engagement

How did you propose?

Hayden: “I had a large billboard/sign made that was about 10×10 feet and I had “I love you forever” painted on it because it was our little “saying.” I convinced Morgan I would be heading into work that day, but actually drove this sign to the town where we had one of our first spontaneous adventures. My parents came into town to take her on a “birthday dinner” at a local brewery. I had the sign set up in the park and attached fairy lights all around the sign and area. When she left the car the instrumental version of “I like me better when I’m with you” was playing. She had to walk all the way across the park as I called out to her. She realized what was going on and then I dropped a knee.”

What are three things you love about your bride?

“I love her heart and “excitedness” to be a great wife, I love her great motherly instincts, and I love her goofy humor and incredible laugh.”

What are three things you love about your groom?

“He is thoughtful, full of compassion, and goofy!”

Why I Love Central Coast Engagement Sessions

While we were exploring the state park, we found this gorgeous grove of eucalyptus trees off a trail near the road. I had to stop for a few extra minutes to capture these two against this stunning backdrop. They were naturals in front of the lens and made my job easy!

My favorite thing about planning Central Coast engagement sessions is that there is so much variety here. There are endless options for beautiful photos to fit almost any personal style. From stunning wedding venues to laid back (and still just as stunning) state parks, there is a perfect location for every couple.

I feel so blessed to have met these two! They will be planning their wedding for 2021 at the Central Coast wedding venue Ella’s Vineyard. I can’t wait to celebrate them and tell the story of their love through more timeless photos.

Engagement sessions are some of my favorite types of photography. View my portrait photography page or my engagement session Pinterest board for more engagement session inspiration.
