Dylan & Larissa | Historic Octagon Barn Wedding

Dylan and Larissa were married at the San Luis Obispo wedding venue The Octagon Barn just a few weeks after the newly-restored historic venue opened to the public. Their lovely October wedding day was filled with central coast sunshine and the perfect golden hour light. These two were so relaxed all day and their excitement and genuine happiness were evident in each moment, from getting ready with friends to dancing the night away.

Dylan actually works for the Land Conservancy and played a role in bringing this lovely historical piece of SLO back to life. When we first met at their venue, the new breezeway was only a foundation and the property was a true construction zone. However, as they started explaining the plans for renovation and their eyes lit up describing the vision for their wedding day, I trusted the process and knew their day was going to be so meaningful.

These two are some of the most genuine, considerate and caring people who see beauty in the world around them. It was an honor to photograph their day and witness the transformation of this lovely historic space in San Luis Obispo, which was also a reflection of their beautiful hearts. Wishing you two all the love in the world and a marriage filled with joy, laughter and adventure. I look forward to staying in touch and documenting more sweet memories in the years to come.

Larissa was a classic beauty in her Badgley Mischka wedding gown from BHLDN and wedding bridal up-do styled by Bluebird Salon. One of the favorite moments of this morning was seeing how excited Larissa was to get married and how confident she was in her skin. She opted out of the traditional bridal party and instead had her close friends meet her to get ready, exchange stories and share lots of laughter. They were peeking around the door watching her take these portraits and reminding her of the queen that she is!

Following their private ceremony in Shell Beach, we walked down to the water for some couples portraits. The bright afternoon light created a warm and cheerful vibe, which fit these two perfectly.
